Features Explained
The device is a digital phone which gives better reception and sound quality when compared to other analogue type of phones. Thus it is known as DECT, that is, digital enhanced cordless telephone. An LCD display of 1.4" size with back light illumination makes it easy to use. The device receives indoor signals within the range of 50 meters and 300 meters outdoors. The cordless phone is SMS compatible and supports colour display for messages.
The Motorola D802 digital cordless phone supports headset connections and two headsets are included with the unit. However, the device has a maximum capability of 5 handsets. It also features a caller ID that will enable you to get the details of the caller. With the conference call option more than one can talk at the same time. You just need to connect the hands set to the base. You can turn on and off the microphone as well. There are other added features like Speaker phone and two way radio.
Although features like room monitoring, Answering machine and Voice over Internet Protocol is not available, the device performs fine. This wall mountable equipment allows easy storage at any place like kitchen, bedroom and also in smaller spaces. The Motorola D802 cordless phone works with a rechargeable battery that goes for 100 hours in stand by mode and a 10 hour talk time. The low battery warning signals you when you have to recharge the phone. The device has a phone memory of 250 numbers excluding redials.
It supports polyphonic ring tones including 10 Ringer melodies and 3 wall papers. A head phone jack also comes along with the unit. Other features like alarm, Call transfer, Tone/pulse dialling, Intercom, GAP compatible makes Motorola D802 DECT cordless phone a smart buy. Not to forget the missed call log, SIM card reader and paging facility. It suits the needs of the buyer as well as the interior too.
