With dimensions of height 4.6cm, depth-15.0cm and width-11.0cm, the BT 5500 has a blue backlit LCD and an illuminated keypad with lock facility.
This cordless unit has a capacity to maintain 250 names and numbers in its directory. Apart from displaying 30 numbers call list and last 20 dialled numbers for redial, the phone displays the caller ID, making it easy for the user to identify the caller. A digital answering machine that has a recording time up to 12 minutes and 2 pre-recorded outgoing messages is an added spark to the hand set. Day/time stamp for each message enables one to view at what time and date messages were left. SMS facility, individual message delete, message received indicator, paging facility, speed dialling, missed call log, mute button, recall button and call hold button are some of the other extensive features of this unit.
This BT cordless phone also offers remote access facility, playback through handset & base; call transfer, out of range warning, SIM card reader & writer, text messaging, clock & date display.
